The Golden Jackals are found in Europe and Asia. They have been observed living alone, in a pair or in small groups.

The diet of Golden Jackal consist of fruit, rodent, birds and reptiles. They also scavenge leftover from other carnivours.

The Golden Jackal is monogamous and pairs for life. Some make dens and some occupy made by other foxes and porcupines.

I have shot these pups in a den with a little risk as female with pups are very defensive and tend to attack.

Golden Jackals are territorial. Mostly hunt alone by waiting for prey and pouncing on them.

The Golden Jackal's conservation status is 'least concerned'. They can be found in and around human habitat looking for food.
