Keoladeo National Park

Keoladeo national park is famous for the migratory birds who make it  their winter home.  It is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site

Bar-headed goose

Waterfowls i.e. ducks and geese arrive here in thousands. They stay here from November to March.

Crested Pochard

Migratory species are mostly ducks, geese, Cranes, Pelicans,Eagles, Hawks, Flycatchers, Warblers and Wagtails.

Crested Serpent Eagle

Most migratory raptors follow the waterfowls and stay around them to feed on them. You will get to see many raptors during migratory season.

Dusky Eagle Owl

Don't get surprised when you notice an owl observing you from behind the bushes. They are a pleasure to watch and photograph.

Black Bittern

Watch out for some shy birds near water bodies who are not so shy at the national park.

Indian Rock Python

You don't notice but they are noticing you. Keoladeo national park is home to 13 species of snakes.

Oriental Darter

Darters and Cormorants will give you a good show. Their underwater fish hunting is  fun to watch. Don't miss it.

Indian Cormorant

A Cormorant has just landed, many will follow and flush out the fishes in group and enjoy the feast.

Who is making so much of noise hanging upside down on the trees. You guessed it right, they are the Indian Flying Fox.

Spot-billed Pelican

Keoladeo national park is a must visit for the bird watchers and bird photographers.
