Five practical tips for Macro Photography
5 practical tips on macro photography
Macro photography is tough but very satisfying when you see the results.
Here are my 5 practical tips for better macro shots.
Lighting:
Small aperture will give you depth of field but light will be compromised. Use a flash with diffuser.
Focus Mode:
Always shoot in manual mode and move the camera back and forth to focus.
Tripod or Monopod:
Use tripod or monopod for stability. Try holding your breath when subject is in focus and you are about to click.
Focus Stacking:
Focus stacking is a way to click multiple shots in a different focal plane on the subject and stack them together using photo stacking tool i.e. photoshop so that entire subject appears in focus.
Subject:
Start with a slow moving subject or an insect who is cooperative. Do not run around a subject and waste your energy.
