Some fun facts about the stork found in Southeast Asia, mainly in India, New Guinea and Australia.

Hight of an adult stork can be up to 5 feet.
Male and female differ from the color of the iris with female having yellow and male having dark colored iris.
They make their nest on top of a tall tree. Male and female take turns in feeding the chicks till they are 3 to 4 months old.

They are highly territorial and do not get intimidated by other large birds and try to live in harmony near human habitat.

These storks feed on water birds and fish, snake and crabs.

They also try to snatch fish caught by other birds i.e. Egrets.

The wingspan of the adult bird is 8.5 feet . The young live with parents for one year. They are forced away by parents after one year.
