Why Tal Chhapar, you ask? Well, nestled in the heart of Rajasthan, Tal Chhapar isn’t just another sanctuary. It’s a raptor realm, an avian haven largely untapped and unexplored. While the sanctuary is renowned for its blackbucks, the raptors genuinely fascinated me. The majestic eagles, the agile harriers, the elusive falcons – each one tells a story, and I endeavored to capture these tales through my lens.
My book does more than just showcase photographs. It offers a glimpse into each raptor’s world, their profiles, behaviors, habitats, and personal anecdotes. From the awe-inspiring sight of the Imperial Eagle to the sheer agility of the Eurasian Hobby, every page is an intimate look into these magnificent birds’ lives.

The ‘Gaushala’ region, in particular, was a revelation, teeming with life and stories waiting to be told.
And who can forget my stay at the Raptor’s Inn? With his unmatched hospitality and in-depth knowledge of the sanctuary, Atul made the experience even more enriching. Waking up to delicious Rajasthani cuisines and embarking on guided tours through the sanctuary’s heart was a memory I’ll cherish forever.
